The University Strategic Planning Group (USPG) is responsible for the development, management and assessment of the University’s entire strategic planning process. The USPG will lead the design and development of the strategic plan for the institution and is responsible for promoting and instilling a planning ethos across the University. The USPG will work collaboratively with the University Budget Advisory Committee and create information alignment and communication linkages with other University committees in an effort to assimilate and present strategic concerns and initiatives to the president and the campus community as a whole.

The University Integrative Core Committee (starting Fall 2015) reports to the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and approves all new courses and their rubrics/learning expectations, oversees assessment of the Core, considers Core policy matters, and offers opportunities for pedagogical innovation. The University Curriculum Committee is a standing committee of the Faculty. In May 2021, Faculty Council charged CAP with developing a new university curriculum committee (UCC) in order to streamline the program approval process, ensure parallel processes across CAS and Boler, review the university curriculum from an institutional perspective, and create a mechanism for faculty input into program closures.
