In short:

If a Faculty Council member is absent from more than three Faculty Council meetings or more than three General Faculty meetings, that Faculty Council member is considered to have resigned his or her seat and the Faculty Council Elections Committee will hold elections for the vacated seat.

Attendance Policy for Faculty Council

Authorized by Faculty Council resolution of October 12, 2011

Proposal 1:

Any Faculty Council member who misses more than three Faculty Council meetings (including special meetings) in one academic year has, thereby, resigned from the Council and her or his seat should be filled as soon as reasonably possible by the FC Election committee. Until a new representative is elected the member’s seat will be considered vacant and therefore the Council quorum will be recalculated according to total seats filled.
